I am delighted to be a Patron of the Australian Youth Classical Music Competition, which plays a vital role in nurturing the next generation of talented young Australian musicians. Competitions such as the AYCMC are an important part of a young artist’s development, offering not only valuable performance experience but also opportunities for artistic growth and personal discovery.

 

From my own experience, I understand the level of dedication, discipline, and resilience required to pursue a career in music, as well as the importance of encouragement and support in helping young artists to thrive. I am deeply grateful to the AYCMC for its ongoing commitment to supporting these emerging musicians, whose passion and talent will enrich Australia’s cultural life for years to come.

 

It is a privilege to be involved with a competition that celebrates both excellence and potential across national and regional communities, and I very much look forward to following the achievements of its remarkable participants.
