Accompanists

 

Applicants are required to engage and arrange their own accompanist for the Competition.

Usually a pianist is chosen, but other instrumentalists are acceptable. The chosen accompanist cannot be another applicant.

​

A pianist may opt to perform a concerto movement accompanied by a second piano. You must first contact the Competition Coordinator to ascertain if this arrangement is practical. Works written specifically for 2 pianos or for piano 4 or more hands, are not permitted.

Pre-recorded accompaniments are not permitted.
