
Brian Luo
Piano
Brian Luo is a 3rd year piano student at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, studying with Glenn Riddle. Previously he studied with Prof David Lockett AM at the Elder Conservatorium and then with Patsy Toh at the renowned Purcell School in London. Since arriving back in Australia,
Brian has been awarded the MCM Pearis Rodgers Scholarship and Katherine Ellis Memorial Scholarship to study at the University of Melbourne. Other awards include the Hephzibah Menuhin Piano Award, 1st Prize in the Melbourne Recital Centre Great Romantics Competition and 1st Prize in 3MBS‚ ‘The Talent’. Brian has given solo recitals for the Peninsula Summer Music Festival, the Camberwell Music Society, Austral Salon, St Paul’s Lunchtime Concert Series and at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Earlier this year he performed Rachmaninoff’s 3rd Piano Concerto at Hamer Hall.
