Hamish Jamieson completed his Bachelor of Music at Queensland Conservatorium in 2019 where he studied under Meta Weiss and Molly Kadarauch. This year, Hamish commences his third year at ANAM under Howard Penny. Hamish successfully auditioned for the Mahler Chamber Orchestra Academy which was to take place in Germany in December 2020, but unfortunately was cancelled due to COVID-19.

During his undergraduate studies, Hamish was the winner of the 2018 Basil Jones Sonata Prize. In 2019 he was accepted into the Australian Youth Orchestra seasonal programs as well as their Chamber Players and the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra Fellowship programs. Hamish is now a casual musician with the ASO, which has included an opportunity to work with the legendary double bassist Edgar Meyer.
